Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for Software Developers for the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management offering to develop common components with a modern, consistent, and compelling user experience.
IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management Extended helps teams keep on top of the complexity of developing smart, connected products. Running in the cloud or on premises, it helps systems engineers and software developers to deliver against requirements, respond efficiently to change and create high-quality designs faster — while controlling development costs and meeting compliance needs. Its tightly integrated tools cover the systems and software development lifecycle, including requirements management, modeling and simulation, quality management, configuration management and collaborative workflow planning and management.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about Front-End, Backend and/or Mobile development, DevOps, Continuous Integration or Testing. Candidates should have a deep UX development knowledge and skills. Successful candidates should be Collaborators, willing to learn and more importantly adopt best practices, an Agile practitioner with a willingness to jump in and figure out complex technical problems, with a focus on delivering results.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Work closely with Offering Management, on the development of common components across ELM applications
- Ability to work within an Agile framework
- Deliver agreed upon common components that meet functional and QoS requirements, quality metrics and validating test cases for incorporation into ELM products by the existing development team
- 2+ years of experience in architecture, design and implementation of distributed applications and MVC applications
- 3+ years in design and development of React applications and components within DOJO
- Proven track record of delivering connected projects in the role of enterprise software development, consulting, or other solution delivery roles
- Expert level in agile programming and working in a team including use of tools such as Git, Eclipse, Docker, Kubernetes and Engineering Workflow Management.
- Good presentation skills with high degree of comfort in communicating with developers, offering managers, sellers and executive management.
- Ability to plan and estimate development tasks (ideally within an Agile framework)
- Ability Communicate status, including risks and issues, to all stakeholders
- Deep understanding of UX with React, business drivers and emerging computing trends.
- Ability to capture best practices and create collateral such as white-papers, and blogs
- Very strongly interested in new technologies, UX design and development frameworks and to have fun to work creatively in a challenging environment
- Knowledge of Web Application Development, React, JavaScript and OSLC.
- Experience with development of application’s with application servers (WAS, Liberty, Tomcat)
