Job Description
Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage.Utilize strong SQL foundation to optimize database performance and query efficiency, particularly in PostgreSQL.Develop Python-based REST APIs to facilitate seamless data access and integration across systems.Leverage AWS services including but not limited to S3, Lambda, EC2, IAM, Batch, Step Functions, RDS, Redshift, and CloudFormation for scalable and reliable infrastructure.Demonstrate expertise in DynamoDB and other NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or CosmosDB.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.Drive CI/CD practices using Git/GitLab/GitHub for version control and automated deployment.Employ Terraform for infrastructure as code to ensure reproducibility and scalability.Lead design and architecture discussions, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.Participate in technical interviews, evaluating candidates’ proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and system design. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).7+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on designing and architecting solutions.Strong background in data structures and algorithms.Proficiency in SQL, Python, and REST API development.Extensive experience with AWS services beyond basic offerings, including expertise in DynamoDB.Hands-on experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with DevOps practices is a plus.Experience working in product companies is preferred.Candidates with MCA degrees will be considered if they have significant experience in product companies like Amazon and demonstrate a solid understanding of data engineering principles. Nice to Have:Experience with GCP or Azure cloud platforms.Additional knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or CosmosDB.Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure management.
