Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for Lead Software Developer who is passionate about designing and writing software to join a collaborative and distributed group of Developers on our core Analytics team. The core Analytics team is responsible for building data pipelines, frameworks and tools to produce quality data that enables business and customers to explore insights. If you have working knowledge of big data frameworks (Hadoop, spark or flink) or have extensive experience in one of the popular programming languages (C++, Java, Python or Scala), and are open to learn new technologies we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications or data pipelinesDeliver complex features with quality and supportabilityWrite and maintain clear architecture, tests and system guide documentationCollaboratively define, scope, prioritize, and estimate workAssist with implementation and monitor to ensure the software is functioning as expectedReview design documents and code to provide constructive feedbackResearch and recommend new technology, methodologies to help increase overall efficienciesTesting and deploying programs and applications.Triage, reproduce, and debug issues reported by other coworkers for our areas of responsibilityWork autonomously on new items and be proactive in unblocking yourself either by finding solutions or reaching out to other peers
Experience, Education And Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.5+ years experience as a full-time Software Developer/Engineer
Additional Requirements
Strong oral and written communication skillsProfessional experience using one of the major programming languagesDemonstrable experience with DatabasesFamiliarity with GitExperience working independently on a distributed teamAbility to learn and think critically about software and data engineering concepts and apply them pragmatically based on project needs
Preferred
5+ years of Hands-on experience developing software in either Python, Java, Scala or C++ preferred but not requiredExperience working with big data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.)Experience with various streaming data concepts, such as KafkaFamiliarity with Kubernetes is a plusHands-on experience implementing ETL (or ELT) best practices at scale.Knowledge of testing, profiling, and debugging practicesFamiliarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and AnsibleDemonstrably deep understanding of SQL and/or analytical data warehousesExperience with git source controlExperience interacting with Stakeholders and communicating status update for tasks and projectsDesire to continually keep up with advancements in relevant technologiesExperience with Agile and Scrum development methodologiesConstantly improve product quality, security
