Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Lead the development of Mainframe applications.
Mentor and coach junior developers on best practices and development methodologies.
Contributes to the development of business and functional requirements to ensure stakeholder understanding.
Contributes to test scripts, set-up, plans, data, and updates to support the testing phase and to ensure test requirements are met.
Provide technical guidance and support for production issues, and participate in code reviews and testing
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
5+ Years as a software development engineer with mainframe technologies
Strong Understanding of concepts on COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, SQL queries, VSAM and Stored Procedures.
Considerable knowledge on IBM tools like CHANGEMAN or ENDEVOR, SYNCSORT or FILEAID, SYNCSORT, and TWS.
Current subject matter knowledge in performance engineering across mainframe disciplines.
Ability to lead the development of complex integration solutions, and to mentor and coach junior developers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience in Health Insurance industry, and knowledge of enrollment, policy management and billing functions strongly preferred
